Swimming Baths - Looking at how we can start a campaign to get some investment into leve's pool and how facilities could be improved.
Communications - Looking at how FoL gets information from and to the community and at the possibility of starting a community newsletter.
PCT/Health - Continuing to monitor the position of the PCT, and where they are going to put new money, after our victory in stopping the alternatively funded Health Centre
Inclusion/community participation/youth - Looking at how to involve the whole community in campaigning and raising their voice. Also to look at youth provision in the area.
Community GardenCentre - Continuing the campaign for Leve to have a community centre
Environmental Issues - Looking at issues such as green space and our community garden.
These groups will report back at the next FoL meeting on 13th June @ the library. This will also be a chance for people to propose any further working groups they would like to run.
Levenshulme Consultation
Manchester City Council are planning to make long-term decisions about the former Community Centre site on Chapel Street after the results of the 'consultation document'. Current it's still up for sale! We say - save the community garden!
Make your views known by taking part in the consultation by following this link

Make sure that you mention environmental improvements, community facilities and the chapel street site by name - if you want to help save it from being lost.
