Levenshulme's Local Family Planning Services Are Being Scrapped
It's come to our attention recently (April 2008) that Manchester PCT are closing the Family Planning Services that operate from Levenshulme Health Centre. They are now to be delivered from Manchester Royal Infirmary instead. We understand that these local services will also be stopping in other districts of South Manchester. This is yet another example of our local services being attacked, and a blow which will particularly affect young people who need this advice on hand, not miles away in town.
Feel free to complain about this very bad and stupid policy by contacting Manchester PCT Complaints Lead Officer on lynn.yates@manchester.nhs.uk and keep an eye out for further action on this front.
