Post Offfice closure
Jun 9 2008, 4:01 PM EDT I just wanted to make everyone aware that they are proposing to close Barlow Road Post Office branch on a permanent basis. Please give your support by signing the petition which is held in the shop and voicing any objections to consultation@postoffice.co.uk. The consultation deadline is 21st july. From a concerned Post Office user 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I would like to know beforehand as I need to know if it's worth attending, no offense but I've never been to an FOL meeting before and...I know this sounds cheeky. but I've heard that the focus is on political ideology and debate rather than addressing social and community issues. Any enlightening comments would be welcome. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 11 2008, 7:24 PM EDT HI ,so where are people up at that part of Levvy supposed to do their postal business? How do Post Offices operate,does the Postmaster get a wage or is it run like a private shop? perhaps its like a francise or maybe a shop keeper can privately sell stamps etc and arrange for post to be collected from a box in the shop. I can't really understand why they keep closing... 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jul 14 2008, 4:58 PM EDT Hi FOl lobbied the full Council last week on various levy issues. On the PO a motion was passed and agreed by more or less all Cllrs to fight the closure. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
